To begin my name is Vincent Brown. live in San Francisco, California. I grow up in the San Fernando Valley in the Los Angeles area.
I moved to the SF bay area in the early 90's in the hope of attending art school. I was planning to study industrial design. Unfortunately for me a recession hit the US in the early ninety's. So my schooling was put on hold. I was never able to get back to it. However, throughout the decade I managed to work on my design skills by picking odd graphic jobs here and there. By the end of the ninety's I was working as a full time videographer. Still keeping my hand in graphics.
About that time I was doing some graphics for a friend who wanted me to add some 3D to the work I was doing. I was given a copy of Bryce from a friend that was a game developer and some how was connected to the 2.0 development team of Bryce. I had to teach myself the program. It didn't come with any manuals. I learned enough to finish the project. But that was it I was hooked on the 3D environment.
Working as a videographer by day while at night on my Bryce skills. Someone called it "Making worlds."
So where am I now? At present I am continuing to work on my 3D skill set. Learning Poser, Wings3D and DAZ Studio and most resently Hexagon. I still have a lot to learn. I hope to acquire knowledge of other programs as time allows. My hope is to someday work as a 3D illustrator. I'm working on it.
I hope you enjoy my gallery.

I'm really sorry that you had lost your job! As you I've lost my job on 2005 for the same reasons at the age of 42. I was one of the product designers (computer graphics) of an multinational company. After that I've thinked to promote myself worldwide (via web) as illustrator, and I've start a new job, working at home without bosses... ;) Anyway... you have really catch the mood and the style of Syd Mead (one of my heroes!)! This is a really great artwork! Do more like this and you will have a brand new job!!! Please post or send me some pictures of the "making" of this artwork because I'm really curious on how you do it with Bryce!!! You can find my personal mail at www.innovari.it Just added this image to my preferred... :)

Awesome rendering!
TheBryster
Bryster, how'd I do? I'm astounded that my few words had such an impact on your work. And that this piece is an answer to my well-meant crit. It is a beautiful piece and extremely well finished - not a hint of Bryce-blue anywhere. You are to be congratulated. However, I am a bit disturbed that those three figures look like futuristic Cardinals........

a great tribute to Syd Mead

My first look at this and I instantly thought "Syd Mead? - here?". The influence is utterly unmistakable. This is absolutely fantastic. I'm in the same boat - jobwise - although my fields of expertise do not enter the illustration field. My interest in CG artwork is only a recent development in my life. Hang in there, with work like this in your portfolio I can't see you banging on doors for very long. Illigitimae non carborundum (don't let the b@#$@$#s wear you down - or something like that, my latin never got beyond really bad.)

Beautiful scene of fiction, wonderful colors and lighting!
Death_at_Midnight
I like this a lot! I like how crisp and polished the materials are, and how rugged the others look. This is fantastic!
