Description

This is the tail art on the F-14 they have in the USS Hornet. Too bad we didn't go before Halloween. LOL The F-14 never actually flew off the Hornet though because when the F-14 came out, the Hornet was an anit-sub ship. But at least it is a Navy jet. :) Have a few more shots of the F-14 that'll go up sooner or later probably. John

I love these planes, despite their age- the F-14, F-15, F16 and F-18 all have their specific purpose- and many of them are around 20-30 years old! As much as I love racing in a car, I can only imagine the thrill of flying around in one of these G-Force defying technical marvels! Great capture of the psychological scare tactic side of this warbird! Please tell me that on this photo journal yet to come there might be some pictures of the F/A-22 Raptor? That would be so very cool!
