Description

This is dedicated to my best mate, Geoff Healey. This is a shot of him inside the Guards Van, taken at the same location as Artaddict2's shot at Rossendale. We had to ride in the guards van because Geoff was on a motorised scooter as he was very poorly at the time. He told me a couple of weeks before this photo that he wanted a last ride on a steam train. The following week I took him to York Railway Museum and tried to get a trip on his favourite engine 'The Flying Scotsman'. Unfortunately I could only get on the late train which was too late in the day for us. So the week after the York trip, I took him for a trip on the East Lancs Railway. This was his last train ride as he died the week after with the dreaded big 'C'. Its not a very good photo, I was crying when I took it, just as I am now typing this. Geoff was my best mate and I still think about him a lot. So this is for you, Geoff Healey, just to let you know, I still love you mate. Thanks for stopping by for a look, I do appreciate your time. May the sun shine down on you where ever you are, and may you live long and be healthy.
