Description

Believe it or not, this is another Thanksgiving shot. I know it doesn't seem like it yet, but bear with me, and I'll tell you how I happened to get this. We were sitting around the table after we had eaten our turkey dinner, chatting and laughing and having a good time. Every once in a while someone would put a napkin on their head. Michael (aka KiltnBoots) suddenly interrupted someone's story - a thing which he rarely does - and hissed at me across the table, "Tara! Go get your camera! Look out the kitchen window!" So I grabbed my camera and went outside, stood so I was seeing exactly what Michael had seen, and took this shot. If it weren't for Michael, you wouldn't be seeing this. And if he'd had his camera with him, you would be seeing it in his gallery, not mine! So, Babe, thanks for getting me this shot! :) ..... I almost forgot. This picture was taken from the back side of Beacon Hill in Seattle, looking East across Lake Washington at the Cascade Mountain range.

A wonderful atmospheric shot Tara, the Moon not long been up in the sky, the sun fairly low in the sky, just managing to light the tops of the distant mountains. Also the framing of the Moon between the tree branches, this could be both romantic(with the right person) and genial(with the right company). As you had company for the meal it must have been the genial atmosphere that went with this great shot. In a word 'Awesome'. Bravo!!!!!

OMG, the narrow twigs and branches remind me so much of the thin capillaries in the eyeball and/or heart muscle. Splendid POV, DOF, sharp clarity and silhouetting in this mood capture, Tara!

Ok, we're over here waving back at you from the other side of those peaks!! A wonderful way to round out your Thanksgiving series. But our Thanksgiving sky was cloudy and cold, so no more moon shots from me, I missed the full moon this weekend too. :-(
