Description

The tallest point is Shumard Peak 8615ft/2626m. The white in the view is not snow!... :) Salt! I believe we are looking toward El Paso, Texas. If we had no haze? Who knows how far we could have seen! Almost on top! Don't give up just another hundred feet or so! Thanks for all the comments, and any advice is always welcome. See Y'all at the top! Todd

El Paso!?! Pass some of that Taco Bell over here! :) This is fantabulous! An excellent perspective making for a sublime scene. Great texture, and almost 'curvature-like' way of the mountainous region!

Oh that would be a grand view, without the haze. I hate it when the haze blocks an amazing view! :o) We really need some rain, I think, everywhere. Wonderful colors. The softness hides the harshness of the land. Excellent image! ;o)

Cool shot. I like that area, but I haven't hiked the trail from which you took the shot. I've just got to get over there in the not-to-distant future.

Your images have shown lovely vistas, did not know it was so high there and that you could see so far!
