Description

This past year i´ve fealt like i have been going nowhere in progress and pretty much just repeated the same old stuff, so this time i´ve decided to try something different for a change. Although i´ve done scifi landscapes before, this one is my first serious attempt of matte painting. Probably not the last one either... :) A small breakdown of the scene here. Photoshop & a Wacom tablet.

Excellent image! Very well integrated for having 6 different sources. The only thing that I would comment on is the wires between towers. They have the same thickness regardless of distance especially between tower 3 and 4 (from left to right). The distance between them seems greater when gauging by their bases and the river and trees that separates them, than by the joining wires at the top. It seems closer at the top. The wires should recede a bit into the distance. Nit-picking obviously, as this is a magnificent piece of work.

That's very lovely--I like how you managed to keep the sense of huge scale in the rock towers, and the light consistent all throughout.

I always feel a sense of loss when somebody turns away from 3D, but this is a stunning work, you are obviously naturally talented to produce this vision first off. Top notch matte.
