Description
This is one from Blists Hill Victorian Village, I've been sitting on it for a while(I wondered why my rear was aching) it sits outside the bank. It is a replica 'Penfold Victorian Letter-box', any mail posted here receives a special Blists Hill hand frank before delivery. The frank is round and has the words 'Posted at Blists Hill, Ironbridge Shropshire. In the center is a drawing of the pit winding gear.

Such a piece of history dear Jeff, beautifully captured too. I like the mosses and weeds growing up the wall too. I watched a programme on Beamish last night. Nice close crop to the Postbox Jeff. There is one just like this (same design) outside the Church on the main street at Ramsbottom and is in use. I took a photo of that one because I thought it may inspire me for a Christmas Painting. Nice to see that you are back uploading once more.

mail boxes are a relic here of the past.one can find them only outside of post offices.this one is outstanding.obviously an antique.excellent work
