Description
Thank you to everyone who've viewed the first 2 images. And even more appreciation to the people who commented.
This was shot at Hyde Park Underground Station. I simply love the stations that have still got the old tiles and fixtures around. My favourite is Baker Street, to me it's simply breath taking. Stations like Cannery Wharf are brilliant too but for their modern appeal. Most stations are being upgraded no to include lifts and wheel chair access.
I hope you appreciate this signage as much as I do. I shot it and edited to enhance the colours, in order to convey my bliss and joy with the old signs.
I'd like feed back in terms of what connection you get from the shots in this series. I'm not really interested it who thinks I should've focused on where and what angle I should've shot from. I want to know how the picture is viewed in your eyes, what does it make you feel?
If you're going to vote, please vote honestly not just this 5 5 5 stuff, pretty please.
Thanx and happy viewing

Very cool shot, great POV and beautiful colour. The underground has some very interesting photo opportunities as you have captured here. Top notch photography.

nostalgia, that's the first thing i feel. there is also admiration for the skill that went into these signs, both in the design and in the fabrication of the tiles. i hope they will survive as they are and not in just 'saved' parts, like in a museum or a zoo. their strength is in the fact that they are part of the whole.

Excellent capture of old underground transportation yet somehow reminds me of the old and extinct drive-in movie screen.

The lean and the long shot on this gives the feeling of a slow slide out of the back of the frame. It carries out the though and mood of "Way Out." Nicely done.
