Description

This shot was taken in September at Betws Y Coed, North Wales whilst out on one of our now regular shooting trips with Chrissy, aka BibbyBear. The falls are not actually as remote as they may look - just behind where we were standing for this shot is an old stone road bridge, which a lot of people just drive over on their way through the village, unaware of this beautiful waterfall just below them. Postwork included a very slight alteration of levels, a run through USM and slight dodge and burn on the water to show more detail. Oh, and I also cloned out where a parked car was just visable through the trees towards the back. Thanks for looking and any comments and critique are more than welcome!

WOW!!! What can I say babe?? I think you did an amazing job with this one and if memory serves me right, by the time you took this shot, you were without tripod and just leaning on the bridge?? I may be wrong however as it was some time ago now! The clarity in this capture is amazing - the details in the rocks pop out at you and you have perfectly composed this shot so that it fits in with the rule of thirds too!! The power of the water really gives a sense of intense motion and almost a feeling of vertigo from this great POV. A wonderful shot and a wonderful day (I really enjoyed the fish and chip supper we had after this, sitting under the shelter of the trees with the pouring rain around us!!) A fantastic capture babe. Hugs Chrissy xox

A wonderful capture, you have caught that water beautifully, tumbling over those rocks. A super place to spend some time.
