Description


A dialect term for causeway. These were made usually over moorland where the ground would become boggy. when these tracks were made it could have been the only route over these baron hills to the next town with packhorse or donkey. This one here is a view coming back down from Stoodley Pike (seen on earlier upload) towards Lumbutts.

Great pov Alan, using the stone causeway to lead into the picture, a nice patch of fields off to the right and what looks like some very nice drystone walls marking them out. A very 'pleasing to the eye' image, I always think of the song forty shades of green when I see landscapes like this. Excellent work. Bravo!!!!!
