Description

Resolution time! This year I am finally going to finish this book I started. I am hoping that my artist friends will help me illustrate it. LetÃ??Ã?Â¢??s have some fun. Read the story and if it inspires you come up with an image that fits. Oh, and BTW, write Ã??Ã?Â¢??BFTÃ??Ã?Â¢?? (The Battle For Traddlebow) at the beginning of the title so I can find it in search. Now I am going to try and add a chapter each day Ã??Ã?Â¢?? Mon through Fri. (yes I have most of it already written) But no Guarantees! And each week I will award $100.00 for the best image of the week (uploaded here and on Mernac by Sunday) with BFT (well on the Rendy Version) in the title Ã??Ã?Â¢?? Renderosity store credit or Paypal Ã??Ã?Â¢?? your choice. Is $100.00 bucks much? Nah, but this is more of a challenge amongst friends and ya retain all rights anyway Ã??Ã?Â¢?? but it will motivate me to finally finish this Ã??Ã?Â¢?? Wanna play? Table of Contents BFT # 4: The Races of Mernac It be known to all in Mernac that there be but 20 races that the Mothers and the Fathers saw fit to place on their creation and Bless with the gift of self awareness and the Curse of seeking the truth. For it is the latter of those two that is the key to the difference between being a race not simply a creature or beast - seeking the truth! - For tis this not the reason we were placed on this plane... To find the truth? Those that have the ability to seek the truth are the ones with the ability to find their soul. A creature or a beast cannot have a soul. Nay, only the 20 races can find their soul be they good or be they evil. The seven Races of the Light are more aligned with good and follow "The One" and the thirteen Races of the Dark are more aligned with "The Other". The Seven Races of the Light are: Dwarf Elf Faerie Furs Human Merfolk Murmil The Thirteen Races of the Dark are: Acquill Azeman Dabbat Dark Elf Dark Faerie Giant Gnome Orc Ogre Sectis Troll Undead Wookalar Each Race has either a patron God, or a matron Goddess to protect and guide them. It is thought by the Scribes and Sages that know of Such things, the Race began as the children of the gods. All were created within 100 or so Seasons of each other, with Siberlee the Mother of NatureÃ??Ã?Â¢??s Race Man, being the first to be created. Though there be but 20 Races, there be many of these races that are have there own subdivisions which are often quite different for each other, but that be a tale for another day. ------- So make a BFT image from any of the 4 stories added this week before Sunday at midnight. We have a few so far... where is yours? Now I am sure that with 20 races you gotta be able to come up with something! BFT # 5 will be posted Monday. - Rick

Nice use of colors and cool idea with the story. Couldn't make out what you were calling it though, I think the text got a lil screwy, at least on my end. Happened on a piece of mine to so maybe its just me. Nicely done
