Description

Another marine illustration done mostly with Bryce... and some art thrown in, hopefully! Bryce is a good artists tool - especially when used with photoshop. I've been using it for a couple of years and have produced a few hundred illustrations. dmrc_enabled_wbtn.gif

Gorgeous nautical render once again. Kind of evokes the volcanic eruption and explosion of Krakatoa and this was the ship taking passengers, which was popular at the time, to the volcanic island for sightseeing. Little did they know what was coming! Gets a 5+ from me.

Guilty as charged! I mentioned the Bryce blue haze. I often see it as a mistake because it's something unique to Bryce in my experiance. However, I bow to your artistic intent. It is after all, your work. This piece though, is brilliant! I can't fault it. Very well done!

It does have the "old" look, and that just gives it more realism. And, no they sure didn't know the way this trip would end!! Great one!!

Hmm… If you are not an expert in Bryce who should be! It is true that the sea has some strange aspects, but I cannot be sure that it cannot happen in the real world with some kind of very dense rain. Anyway you succeed not only to create great scenes but also a very impressive mood and that makes wonderful narrative illustrations.

Love the muted colors in this. You are so talented at evoking the many moods of the sea. Even the people's poses are perfect.
