Description
This dedication is for a dear friend of mine from Hollad ( Violet ) or better known as Therese. She is a wonderful lady and talented Poser & Bryce artist with a great sense of humor. Most important of all to me is the kindness she has shown to my sister Veronica and my 3 nieces, this has touched me most of all. Therese did wonderful works of art for each of my 3 nieces which made them so happy and put me always in her debt. She shared with me several wonderful stories of childhood and I chose to combine two of them. She told of how she protected her little sister from a bully who was older than them and also of the fun she had playing ( Cowboys And Indians ) So I put them together into a belated birthday present for her and I hope smiles for everyone else. Retreat For ( Violet ): Little Matt was trying to imitate his western hero Matt Dillon and slipped up on the Indian village in an attempt to take them into custody. Much to Mike's horror Chief Therese and her sister were ready for him and launched a all out attack of their own surprising him. Little Matt was quick to retreat, knowing his cap gun couldn't possibly stand up to the assult from their ancient weapons. ( A plastic mallet and a baby bottle full of milk for their dolls ) This was truly the most shocking loss for western heroes since the Alamo. Well hope you all enjoyed it and got a smile.

Looks like Therese had had enough of the cultural persecution of the First Nations. Although 'Cowboys and Indians' was a cultural norm for me growing up, I never understood why the 'Indians' were always relegated to the role of 'bad guy' all the time. Especially since the 'Cowboys' (read European) always had the more technologically advanced weapons and always seemed to start settling in places they promised they would not. I love how you manage to create these expansive looking scenes where you have the kids at play and yet you have them as part of a greater world. Excellent composition.

oops! I missed this somehow, dave. Excellent characterizations, group posing(always super) and overall scene layout. Again, scenes like this could be the basis for an animation.
