Description

I think this looks better in full size. This is the third image in this series, where I explore some variations in this scene. Others below. thumb_1594679.jpg thumb_1594963.jpg I made this atmosphere from scratch, starting from the standard one. I made the terrain manually in Geocontrol2 and made the textures in Vue. Tower is "Tower of Abjuration", from Meshbox Design. Thanks for your comments in previous images and thanks for watching!

The light is great. Think it's my favorite of the Series. I'm not sure the Sun Moon constellation is possible ;-) Great Image again!!

Ohhhhhh man! For the first time in a long time, I am at a loss for words... I can probably babble something out- but it won't do justice to this incredible environment. That is an EPIC sky, and somehow you figured out how to get the godrays to splay out in all directions- man, that looks so cool!

Fantastic image! This is my favourite of the series by a mile. I think the dramatic atmosphere really lends itself to the scene. The godrays are a almost a little too clearly defined for my taste I think, but that's a very minor criticism and they are quite striking! The new camera postion (in my opinion) works really well here and helps to create a balance to the composition that I find attractive. Great work! Cheers, Antony.

This is a great mood piece. The lighting, the reflection off the water and off the snow at the front of the image bring it to life. Very well done! A great series of images.

  1. I like the sense of being up high with the first image because of the cloud base. Unknowing to us viewers that there was water underneath. 2. Not too keen on the amount of haze in the second image. 3. Like mose people, I too am a sucker for a sunset / sunrise. Combine this with superb atmospherics, reflections, well made terrains, materials & shoreline,-(and not forgetting the lomesome tower)- makes this image stand out! Too bad we won't see it on the front page! Regards Kev
