Description

Time Ticks Away Time. It ticks away the passing of our lives. Tells of memories past, and of future yet to hold. Time. It ticks away the moments in our lives. That which we share, and that which we don't. Time. It ticks away our love when we are together. That which should last forever, only to pass with the blinking of an eye. Of a tear. Time. It ticks away our love when we are apart. It is the slowest movement of all. Slower than the breath of one who has past on. Time. It ticks away like the breaking of a heart. For when I am away from you, my heart is filled, with the pain of a thousand silver daggers. A thousand daggers... if not more. Thrown into my heart, one... second... at... a... time. J.P. Wiegand ©Emittravel 1985 ----- Pulled this out of the archives. Kind of like life in the fast lane. Tried for a "dramatic" ending. Nothing like loneliness to bring out the sappiness. -j.p.
