Description

Many of you wondered how Escher's (or, as xesquez wrote: Reutervärd's) triangle was photographed. thumb_1598813.jpg So here I unveil how I made it. Indeed, it's a bit tricky, and you have to be very accurate when positioning the tripod and adjusting the focus. As you may know, I don't like digital cameras that much, but here I had to use it. You may have to take dozens of photos (and of course you have to build the structure again and again), load them into photoshop and check by combining them. If it doesn't fit: try again and re-adjust the angle. I think I took around 30 photos to get it. Take your time, and be very accurate when you build the structure. I constructed a small pattern of wood to get the right angles correctly and to prevent the dices from being shifted. The rest is simple: just create a layer mask as shown in the pic and then combine again. So, it's no witchcraft or wizardry. I hope to see some of your ideas in the future. Have fun. As always: thanks for viewing and commenting.
