A principal character from the Twilight Blades, a D&D Forgotten Realms campaign set in Aglarond. “In the midst of the small clearing stood a circle of ancient stones standing more then a man’s height, and about sixty feet around. Each little wider a man, and carved with Yuirish symbols. “So this is a menhir circle?” Rynard asked as he approached the stones, disappointment clear in his voice. “I expected something grander!” Talice turned and glared at the mage, as if she could burn him to ash with her eyes. But, before she could respond, the ancient stones themselves silenced him. They began to sing an eerily beautiful hum, and the space with in the circle shimmered. “Get back!” Talice warned, and even Rynard obeyed without question. For a moment, the interior of the circle seems to dim, as if twilight had fallen. Then it snapped back into focus, and full daylight illuminated it again, but in the circle’s midst stood a figure that had not been there before. Pale, slender and beautiful, she raised her hand to shield her eyes from the sun, like someone suddenly thrust into the light. For a moment they all stood in stunned silence, then Cosar found his voice. “Now that’s what I call magic!” he announced with clear amusement. “A stone circle that produces beautiful women.” Nymara turned toward the voice, noticing the companions for the first time, her eyes struggling to focus in the glaring sun light. “I am Nymara Mooshadow of the twilight realm”, she lowered her hand to the hilt of her sword. “I seek a child, my niece, who may have ventured here some days ago…”” One of the rarest of elves in Faerun, a Star Elf, Nymara's people fled the Yuirwood to the demi-plane of Slideyuir over two thousand years ago. But now, with their twilight sanctuary under assault by the alien sorcerers, the nilshais, a few have chosen to return. A bard, warrior (fighter) and bladesinger, Nymara is a lithe beauty, deadly with either steel or spell. Still new to Faerun, she is often fascinated by sights others take for granite, and delights in every new experience. Embracing the Twilight Blades as a way to meld into the societies of Aglarond and the Yuirwood, Nymara sees her peoples withdraw into Slideyuir as cowardly, and would advocate for them to abandon the demi-plane if she ever returned there. Filled with wonder at the advances human society has achieved, she is also repelled by the depths of evil it has loosed upon the world, and deeply concerned at how far the Yuir elves have fallen. The fifth image in my third pass through the Twilight Blade characters. I kept the outfit and hair from my previous version of Nymara, but used a new skin texture and tweeked her morphs.
