Description

I went to Lake Martin to shoot in the rain. I know most people have the cameras away and sitting in front of the computor and is on RR. I wanted to see what the rain do to landscapes. I know how it looks for I been around a long time but went you start to note things around you with a camera it like a new world open up to you and you see things diff; more fuller you see things. I know the image looks gairny it may be I not sure for it was raining and the rain may have made it look grainy. I got to check it out more and I just saw on my camera a setting for images I got to look at more too. I lost the book that came with the camera so I spent $24 to get another book. It helped out a lot and I not finish reading it . So much imformation lol. oh when it rains here it a heavy rain. I know I been in diff parts of the country and when it rain light to me they think it a heavy rain. thanks for looking and comments and votes too

These kinds of birds have that dynamic pitch control where they can snake their necks and move their heads back and forth to take off and land just so without having to camber their wings like other birds. Or something like that after you take 100 photos to study heads, necks and wings.

Nice work Jocko! You captured a very serene image! The misty fog, or whatever, gives nice depth to the image! The birds look very graceful!

You are right about how things look different once you start seeing through the lense of a camera.Commonplace things look different and special.A fine shot.

Awesome flock of Egrets! The rain give a certain softness to the image that some pay big bucks for filters to stay dry! ;)

Wonderful shot! I love what the rain does to distant hills. (Good thing, since I live near Seattle!) This is beautiful.

You should check into some noiseware software to help with the grainy images in low light. It can help a lot. Bravo on getting the shot in the rain, so many lovely egrets!

Sometimes grain seems to add to an image. In the old days of black and white film people used to push films to get it. I think that it adds to the atmosphere of this shot.

All in all, I'd say it was good shot! The blur on some of the birds just gives it a better sense of motion happening, I think. Good rain shot!
