Courynn and Talice bowed their heads in respect, and the other followed their example. “Your punishment shall fit your crime,” Blindelsyn addressed the captured slavers. “You will live out your days in the service of those you would pray upon.” She motioned, and a dozen foresters stepped forward from the crowd and drug them from the square. Then she turned her attention to the cart, and the dragon’s corpse with in. “Is this to be a trophy?” she asked, the distaste clear in her voice. “No, my lady!” Rynard stepped forward, and made a courtly bow. “The Royal Council sent me to investigate the claims that slavers were using a dragon to capture whole settlements,” he explained. “I can think of no better evidence of their truth.” Blindelsyn smiled as she eyed the handsome, young mage. “So you will take it back to Velprintalar?” she inquired. “With your indulgence, my lady,” Rynard replied, “I would pen a report to send with the beast, and remain here… I believe there is much for me to learn of the Yuir.” He looked to Courynn, who only shook his head. Blindelsyn followed Rynard’s gaze, and smiled at the ranger’s reaction. “You would be most welcome among the Yuir…”” A distant descendent of Brindor, Aglarond’s first half-elven king, Blindelsyn is “princess of the Yuirwood”. Supported by the masters of the Yuirwood, and the predominately half-elven people of the forest, she, and her brother Branelwyr, are the recognized authority with in the woodland. Although pressured to "hear the call of her elven blood" by those who would reclaim all the land for the forest kingdom, she holds firm in her loyalty to the Simbul. Blindelsyn feels the winds of change sweeping over Aglarond, and the Yuirwood in particular, but whether it is a change for good or ill she has not decided. Blindelsyn watches the goings on in the ancient forest carefully, and is well aware of the Twilight Blades and their accomplishments. Even though most of its members would prefer to avoid recognition, she has raised them to the level of local heroes by publicly rewarding their efforts to protect the people of the Yuirwood.
