Hi, I'm Marilyn.  I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile.  It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here.  I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends.  Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time.  Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!!  Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet.  You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long.  Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Something George Castanza once said about the cold... hummmmmmmm, what was that? LOL Great shot and glad you caught it before it disappeared altogether. :-)

WOW, Marilyn, this is a wonderful shot...kind of an accidental self portrait too. :-) The colors here are exquisitely vivid and inviting, and I love their utter contrast to the snow itself. It's good you captured this before the snow melted. There's only been rain in Prague, and I'm kicking myself for missing a shot of cobblestones and wetness...but in its way, this more than makes up for it. AND on top of that, you have a gazing ball! YAY! I will say though, this is a superb work.

Yes, I know exactly what the other title was, you have a devious mind just like me. Great abstract image. You have to be quick sometimes with photograhy as it can all change in the blink of an eyes. Tony :-)

Love this shot! Great capture of your image and the tree contrasted against the background aurora borealis, Marilyn. And the encompassing ice crystals really top it off!
