Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Well, they have aptly named their restaurant, since that is the pun name for garlic...anything Italian for me...jeez, you're making me hungry here, Marilyn.

Neither myself or my wife can stomach garlic, yet my daughter love it. We love her enough to cook it for her, although we both detest the smell of it. So much so that Pauline feels ill when it is particulary strong, sometimes having to leave the kitchen until after Emma has eaten. So you can keep it all to yourselves as far as I'm concerned. I'm not as bad as Pauline though, I can stand the smell, Just! Excellent capture Marilyn and I love the little planets, I'm glad you didn't shop them out, they give atmosphere to it. Bravo!!!!!

Splendid color/lighting effects in this fine capture, Marilyn! Garlic? We don't need no stinking garlic! Although reportedly healthy for you, definitely the most antisocial food ever concocted by nature. Plus, garlic and I do not get along too well. It raises holy hell with my esophagus.

There are garlic festivals all over the place! Ours here was put on by the Love Israel family until they sold up and moved away a few years ago. (I don't know if it's still going on under different auspicies or not.) I believe there was even garlic ice cream! I found a link with garlic recipes. You got me curious! :) Very cool shot, by the way!

I love the colors here and the brilliant contrasts between the reds and the other neon colors and the black of the night. This is utterly fantastic work, compelling, and the writer in me is curious about the stories that take place within it. I love the perspective, and the way the precipitation (snow? rain?) has the effect of stars post-worked in! Utterly great work, and it has a nice vibe to it as well. Hmmm...I love garlic, and if they have so many ways of preparing it, I wonder if they have garlic ice cream...just a thought...

Nothing seems more natural for The City as this place. I would have to think twice about going here to eat with someone I cared about. LOL

I have never heard of such a place. Does make you wonder what else they serve. We had a restaurant not far from us that was called lung fung. The food was awful I guess they called it lung fung because you threw up a lung after you ate... LOL
