Description

I had never heard of an autumnn crocus until someone here mentioned them. (I think it was Chris.) Then one day last September, shortly after she told me about them, I saw these. Isn't it funny, how that happens? You learn something new, and suddenly it's everywhere!

Lovely color blending, lighting and textures in this shot, my friend, and the black background really pops it out. A lovely species I was truly unfamiliar with. I would have easily mistaken these for some kind of lily.
