Description
I was back out at the wildlife refuge a few days ago looking for those tundra swans. They're elusive as all get out, but there are so many other beautiful things to see, I can wait for them. It was a cloudy morning and I took this about half an hour after sunrise. There's a big cloud bank right above the water, gives it that pink tint.

Oh, Marilyn, this is exquisite. Evocative. I'm listening to moody music as I look at this and well...WOW...there are times when I wish I could film my own movies and use locations like this for really intense, probably also very controversial scenes...but anyway, enough of that. I love the ambiance you caught here, the contrasts between light and shadow--which is a big thing for me--and the nicely subtle grades of color, especially colors limited to a narrow range of the spectrum. THIS image rocks!
