Description

I have never seen the northern lights in person and I know they are multi-colored.I was thinking about this effect of the sunset and correlated the two. I merged 2 hand held photos to form this panorama.hope you enjoy.the effect of the clouds were not do to my wide angel of 10mm,but were natural.the sun was to the far right of the picture thanks for viewing and any comments did you see mapps and my post yesterday

We used to see the northern lights quite often were I live Richard, but due to light pollution it is very rare now. I guess Stolta would have some fantastic sightings in Iceland, when they dance in the sky they are all the colours of the rainbow. This is an excellent attempt to replicate them though, and very pleaseing to the eye. Fantastic work. Bravo!!!!!

  • Tell me, enigmatic man, whom do you love the best? Your father, or your mother, or your sister, or your brother? - I have neither father, nor mother, nor sister, nor brother. - Your friends? - You are using a word whose meaning remains unknown to me to this very day. - Your country? - I do not know under what latitude it lies. - Beauty? - I would love her gladly, goddess and immortal. - Gold? - I hate it as much as you hate God. - Well then! What do you love, extraordinary stranger? - I love the clouds ... the passing clouds ... over there ... over there ... the marvelous clouds! The Stranger - Charles Baudelaire

Someday, you will have to go and see the northern lights. They are spectacular, but looking at this, I would opt for the warmer version of yours. :o) Gorgeous capture. Bunny

Richard, this is just breath-taking! I sort of thought the same thing, that it made me think of aurora borealis. I've seen them a couple of times, and it's an awesome sight!
