Hi, I'm Marilyn.  I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile.  It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here.  I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends.  Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time.  Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!!  Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet.  You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long.  Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

I always wondered what it was like on the other side of the fence, now I know. Or is it the grass is greener, cause this is green of course? Which way shall I jump cause I'm sitting on the fence? You've got me all mixed up now, I don't know if'n I'm coming or going or which way I'm at anymore. Fantastic pic Marilyn, lovely postwork. Bravo!!!!!

I like the composition and POV with the railings going off at an angle! What program are you using to do your postwork in?

This is a fantastic image...I love the colors you have endowed this with...the blues and greens seem native to the picture and just enhanced a bit with some pretty nice filters. Great stuff. The perspective IS nice, and you've captured the regular pattern of the gate wonderfully, and skewed it deliciously just because of the angle from which you shot. THAT makes the gate interesting, to say the least and I love the way that the gate's regularity is broken by the foliage. Great work!!!!

Interesting postwork. Gives me an eerie feeling, don't really know why. I do not believe your walks are eerie though.. Hmm..

Superb perspective... very nice capture my friend!

Great contrast of elements, Marilyn...the starkness of the iron-work gate against the soft needles of the evergreen tree. That gate looks massive and heavy. Guess that's why it's never closed.

This is a wonderful shot Marilyn. I like what you have done with it. Hugs. Diane.

Great POV and the green blends right into the blue, excellent! ( why do they do that? a gate that never closes ! )

It's a nice photo, but what's this got to do with anime/manga? I think maybe this is in the wrong section...
