Description
Bury, Ramsbottom and Rawtenstall Lancashire UK
Annually have a war weekend which is connected with the Steam Railway, Taken 2-3 years ago when my pictures were more like snapshots.
I'll look out for the same event this year to get some good takes from it. this is just a sample I played around with Lol.

This is a really nice capture Alan. I like it in b&w. My buddy always drags me to these WWII reenctments or get-togethers. A couple of years ago we were in Reading, PA and we saw Col. Tibbits, the pilot of the 'Enola Gay' that dropped the first A-bomb on Hiroshima. Also some guys that flew the 'Hump', the first officer across the bridge at Remagen, the youngest Marine ever to receive the Medal of Honor, and a Coast Guard guy that had been in the Normandy Landings and later in Okinawa. We also saw WWII aircraft, including the only flyable AVRO 'Hasting'.It is maintained by a Canadian group and had come down for the occasion. I remember having seen Hastings during the Berlin Airlift. Thanks for sharing Alan, Sig..

Great shot Alan, if you find out when it's on let me know will you. They also do one of these weekends at Crich, the Tramway Museum, if you want to go again. Or they do one at Eden Camp the old PW camp near Malton North Yorkshire, thats not a bad day out. I'll make some enquiries. Point and shoot eh? Snap shots he says. It looks great in sepia tone Alan. Wonderful work! I agree with PJ - the snapshot quality this has really makes the image. Anything more professional looking would seem staged. This is so natural - it looks like it could have come from someone's treasured collection of war memorabilia. Excellent stuff, my friend!
