Description

Some mornings just never go right. Shortly after she set out, Rudi's truck motor blew as she topped a low rise. Rudi had been expecting it; the motor had been acting up for several days. Her attempt to cross the country, following one of the old highways, had ended on the twenty-third day out. Repair was not an option. It was arrid country void of any communities or even single habitations. She regretted having to abandon the truck and all her meager possessions. It was a long walk back to the west coast. Reluctantly, she gathered what she would need; bedroll, provisions, water. Finished, she shouldered the backpack and resolutely started walking. ___________________________________ I expect I ought to have given her a weapon, too. Think she's gonna need it. I was trying for a "dusty dawn" effect. How did I do? Thanks for stopping by. Jeremy CREDITS: Figure: A3 realistic with clothing "Rudi for Aiko 3" by MAB and Will Dupr? (DAZ). Vehicle: "Roaring Out of the Wasteland! - Trader Vehicle" by kalebdaark (Renderosity). Vegetation: Most are from DAZ's "Serengeti Environment" and a few from Modualz's "Scrublands" (RDNA). Highway texture is a freebie, creator unknown.

Excellent scene my friend! It definitely lools like a dusty morning you might add a pale sun in postwork. btw: Rudi is a very strange name for that woman ;)

Very nice scene! Makes we wonder why she was attempting to cross the country, though... Because it's there?

Okay, this is a post-apocalyptic scene. She wants to cross partly to see what has happened across the country. She is actually on a paved, although very cracked concrete highway. Hard to tell because the weeds, shade, and dust tend to obscure it. She's doing it because nobody has, as far as she knows, since a small comet hit the Earth a hundred years earlier.

Very good, like the foggy effect, dust might have been more to the brown, but very well done.

You did very well I'd say. Although her eyes seem a bit undefined imho. The haziness is brilliant as is the story.
