BIO
My love for digital art started about 2001 when I created simple 2D-wallpapers for my Star Wars homepage. I always was annoyed with the picture-material I had, as it never fitted to my needs and I wanted to create more unique images. Searching the net for a program that could solve my problem I found Bryce. Soon I was a member of a Yahoo-group and everybody was talking about Poser..... That was the beginning of my friendship for this wonderful program! Everyday I learn more about this "mysterious" program and I think I'll never learn everything ;o) Hopefully one day I have the chance to build my own digital models, but at the moment I love it to texture models with PhotoImpact. That's it. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me! ~Saskia~
Update 2008
Sorry to say that, but I nigh completely abandoned Poser from my workspace, as I've moved on to Carrara, an application I learned to love and that challenges my intention to finally build my own models. I just have to find a way how and where to start learning....

Still a pin up for me, great work on the reflections :)

Red dress and pearls, very classy. Pin-ups don't always have to show a lot. Leave 'em guessing, ne? The reflectiveness of the flooring is real nice. I wish I could get it to look that pretty. Lovely work as always.

Ooooooh no pirate today. :( But it´s a fantastic scene too! Nice work with her Saskia! :D

Very nice Saskia... You did a very good job of capturing that late 50's, early 60's style. The texture in the dress (especially the skirt portion) looks great. It's subtle, but definitely adds a sense of realism to the character. the only things I can see that you might want to tweak a tiny bit is the lower area of the figure's left breast, the sharp angle (pointy place) are a bit distracting. I'd also soften the edge of her sleeve (mainly along the top edge of her shoulder) to make it look more like the rest of the edges of the dress. The face is beautiful, as is the hair (I really like the hair... classy, yet soft.. well done). Another great image hun... your boyfriend should love it. (and I hope you like the critique).

I agree that you've gotten the old school feel across for this one, very glamorous. Reminds me of advertisements at the time.
