Description
This was taken today at a local wetland. I was out looking for birds to shoot with my new toy, a Canon 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS EF USM lens. I did see two adult bald eagles, but they weren't close enough for good shots, and the light was strange as we transition from sunny back to rainy.
But I did get this good look at Mt Hood with late-afternoon color on it. The birds above the trees are a flock of Canada Geese that were coming in for a landing. Unfortunately, they didn't land on this pond. But I think the spring migration is starting, so I'll have lots of opportunities.

Beautiful, the reflections, the water, everything about this is wonderful. There are thousands of geese near me, they live there most of the year, and sometimes you hear them coming five minutes before you see them!!

A gorgeous Mt. Hood sunset. BTW, I believe that big cloud is a lenticular cloud. We don't see them very often. Punaguy posted some several years ago.

Wow! At first, the mountain looks like another cloud, low and off in the distance. The pond ripples are amazing and the geese are a lovely highlight :)
