a very good morning to you all :o)
this is a strange capture in respect of its focusing and i really dont understand what happened. focus on one thing throw the backgound out and thats it and yet here i have two seperate focus points some distance apart and the rest of the hips out of focus .whats baffling me even more is the shoot is at the back and yet its in focus .now dont get me wrong i like this shot a lot because of the way it is ,i just can`nt get the concept of how its managed to be captured like this .so if anyone can help me understand this i`d be grateful as its doing my head in :o)...
have a great saturday and of course weekend my friends and thanks as always for looking

Excellent shot.

dof is always an issue when you have a short focus range.I agree your results is normal, try with a 105 macro and then dof is a big issue.I run into problems on trying to capture a tiny moth that is prevalent here in Texas because of the same thing

mmm! I see you are having some fun experimenting with the camera Mick. After reading the comments, I'm none the wiser but I really like the dof anyway.

Came out lovely! Sometimes it happens with accidental shots! ;-)

I can't believe I missed this! I love this shot of the rose apples. I have a few too and they are so lovely during the winter. Excellent job and I'm not going to venture an opinion about the focus other than to say - Mick, when your good, your really good! :-)
