Hi, I'm Marilyn.  I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile.  It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here.  I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends.  Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time.  Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!!  Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet.  You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long.  Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Glad to see you are having fun. Some nasty little tagger tagged the dragon, I see. Those SF hills will keep you fit for sure. Keep enjoying your journey.

Very nice capture of this place. The road looks steep. Did any shopping there? Aloha

I love the warm tones, the oranges and yellows and golds you've chosen for this. Beautiful!

This place gives me the willies. Granted, the last time I was in Chinatown in SF was probably 30 years ago and after dark...Fantastic shot of what I am missing. :-)

Great capture and postwork, We have a large Chinatown and Chinese community in central Manchester, I keep saying I would like to go when they do the carnivals, dragon displays and that kind of thing, perfect for photos.

Great view and capture, Marilyn. That hill looks really awesome to have to climb, tho.

Alan beat me to it, about our China Town that is. Love that lamp post just through the gateway Marilyn, it looks radioactive. lol. Pity the scrote had to tag the lion but you can't help that. Excellent capture and postwork, a very colourful image that looks aged. Bravo!!!!!

Great POV, DOF and orangey color effects in this shot, Marilyn! Talk about narrow streets. No tickee, no laundry, and other sterotype stuff! Is that vandal graffiti on the head of that dragon to the right?

NICE.................

This is a fantastic work of photographic work, Marilyn, I absolutely love the sense of vibrant color you've brought out of this as well as the sense of life you've captured. The tag of graffiti on the fu-lion's head is such a wonderful, urban touch...Great stuff here.
