Description
This old tree is located close to the old abandoned, decaying Mississippi Industrial College, which can be seen here in the background, located in Holly Springs, Mississippi. Right next to the tree (behind where I'm standing) is an old abandoned house, which is also falling apart.
My companion Leah can often sense things that I do not, and as soon as we approached this tree she immediately received some extremely powerful negative energy. Something really bad happened here.
The tree and house were difficult to even get to; nature is in the process of taking it all back. If it weren't for being winter, we may have missed the house entirely due to the overgrowth.
Approaching the front porch she had another close encounter thinking I was right behind her pulling some branches and vines out of her way. But when she turned around to thank me, I was several yards away. I can still see the surprised look on her face when she saw how far back I was!
The Mississippi Industrial College trained young African-Americans for entrepreneurship beginning in 1906. It had an extremely successful run, but unfortunately closed in 1982 due to bankruptcy. It has been abandoned now for over a quarter of a century.
An earlier post of the College entitled "Abandoned History" can be viewed by clicking here.
Thanks for looking!

I really like the angle of the building behind the tree. It adds to the feeling that something else is up here.. a little more than meets the eye. And the tree isn't bad... but maybe what happened there was. Just imagine what the tree feels like- stuck with that vortex of negativity swirling around it... mmmhmmmm. That's all I'm sayin' ;-) lil'
