Description
A recurring character from the Twilight Blades, a D&D Forgotten Realms campaign set in Aglarond.
“Chathi stood her ground boldly, scowling with seething hatred at the approaching quintet of heroes. “You have become a nuance!” she spat at the companions as they cautiously moved to encircle her. “You will find Aglarond justice more a mere ‘nuance’!” Rynard shot back. “We do not take kindly to those who kidnap our citizens and sell them into slavery!” He couldn’t help but admire her exotic beauty. Despite the snarl that turned her lips, her features were fine and alluring. Her head was entirely bare of hair, and a black tattoo covered much of it, running down to her cheeks. Her blood red robes did little to hide the willowy figure beneath. “I do not take kindly to those who interfere in my business!” Chathi mocked the mage, her dark eyes burning with restrained anger. “You would do better to concern yourselves with your own future,” she threatened, standing casually by while they surrounded her. Rynard stood in near awe of her blatant arrogance. Even for a red wizard of Thay, she was unbelievably smug. Caught red-handed, surrounded and alone, with her minions already defeated, she not only seemed unconcerned, but dared to threaten them. She must either be a truly powerful wizard, or completely insane! Then a frightening thought occurred to him… she didn’t look insane!”
As cruel and heartless as she is beautiful, Chathi was raised in the Thayan tharch of Lapendrar. Taken from her family at age twelve her natural ability for the Art (magic), and her blossoming beauty, made her a prize pupil and she quickly learned to use the latter to her advantage. Ruthless and amoral, Chathi enjoys more freedom then most red wizards as here assigned task of overseeing slavery operations frequently takes her into neighboring nations. Despite Thay’s new policy of “mercantile” expansion, Chathi’s role has changed little. However, she must now operate her slave raids covertly.
Chathi is obsessed with the magic of the menhir circles that dot the Yuirwood, and has recently discovered the existence of the underground complex beneath the Sunglade. She frequently stages covert slave raids deep into the ancient forest to justify her efforts to decipher the secrets of both, and has survived several conflicts the Twilight Blades as a result.

This is a superb image...gorgeously elegant! I love the brilliance of the red and the sultry expression on her face. I have to say that her face is incredibly well done as well...sultry and aloof and the bald head and tattoo-work makes her stunningly, and gorgeously exotic. Fantastic work, and a pretty good piece of writing to accompany it.
