Description

Another scanned image from 15years ago when I took Emma aged 5 to Disneyland Paris. We only had a couple of hours in Paris central, just enough time for a bite to eat, before driving 20 kilometre South to our hotel. We were dropped off quite near to Notre Dame and went into one of the many Cafe's near by. I was using two walking sticks at this time as I was recovering from a Patellectomy(not sure on spelling but I had my Knee Cap removed). Because of this my eldest son Andrew came with us to help me control a five year old excited Emma. This was our view from the Cafe that we used. Emma liked her chicken but did not like her salad, she told me it had dirty beer on it.roflmao. I did want to go inside the Cathedral but did not have the time, we went on a package tour and had to fit in with their times. I will not go into detail, siffice it to say, I will not be going on another package deal.lol. Thanks for stopping by for a look and for any comments you care to make, CC is most welcome or just C, it doesn't matter. May the sun shine down on you, where ever you are. Sunny here at the moment all the snow has melted.

Wonderful! You got a shot of a rose window! I've always loved those, ever since learning about them in college. Beautiful!

It's nice to see this famous window from the outside! The stained-glass aspect of it is amazing, of course, but the beautiful framework is a piece of art unto itself. It tends to get lost in the ooooohhs and aaaaaahhhs of the red and blue glass. I'm happy to see this view!

A great shot of this window. So much pride and workmanship went into this and it has lasted so very long. Although weathered and aged it has a fine comforting quality to it. Brave one you are to take in Disney. I've gone to Los Angeles and Orlando here and all I can remember about either was how tired I was afterward...:-)

It must have been a grand experience to see this famous rose window, even if you did not get to go inside. An exquisite work of art that has stood the test of time.

I have been to Notre Dame, and it is worth seeing the inside! Excellent capture of the window. ;o) I hate package deals on trips, too. We always went by ourselves, and even "followed our noses" a bit whenever we wanted to divert from our plans.

Nice shot of the rose window~ As large as it is, the prettiness of it and its great detail get lost in the full shots of the cathedral.

What a beautiful shot!!! This window is so lovely in it's softly muted stone surroundings. As someone mentioned, it is super to see the window as a feature by itself and not part the whole Notre Dame!! Thank you for your humorous comment on my last upload:-)smoking a ciggie indeed!! LOL
