Hi, I'm Marilyn.  I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile.  It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here.  I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends.  Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time.  Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!!  Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet.  You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long.  Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

In my many trips to The City, I have never been on the Golden Gate. Never been this close to it either. A very creative rendition. :-) unique and creative capture and postwork.

As Mick says, we only see the standard shots of the bridge so this is most interesting!

Gorgeous capture of a classic, Marilyn. Looks like there is still on-going retro fitting being done to earthquake proof the structure or annual paint job.

There was some movie that had a scene shot from this side underneath the bridge right over there. NIce to see this one. We don't get many shots from here!!!

I want to be down there, on that track that goes along under the bridge, right down at river level extreme left, and also on the other track that snakes out of view maybe right underneath and out the other side. This is very different from what you normally get of this great bridge, but it has made me greedy for more, because you have shown me there 'IS' more. You cannot stop me dreaming.lol. I love it Marilyn, fantastic pov, I find this much more interesting than the 'full on' shot. Lots to see and take in. Superb. Bravo!!!!!

A very interesting POV ... it doesn't look too secure to me - such flimsy underpinning! Great photograph, enhanced by the postwork. Mike

I left my heart, in San Francisco.... OMG, this is a way different POV of the bridge than I've seen in other fotos of same, Marilyn! Splendid compo and really nice silhouetting in progress here. Interesting use of the light turquoise circle spotlighting the center.

OOoh, I love this shot...the perspective is utterly perfect and I love the fact that you've taken an iconic landmark and shown something that few people even imagine exists. Fantastic work and a fun touch of postwork as well. Creatively seen and presented, as usual!

Very cool pic! I love the thought of all those pathways leading off to different places. It looks as though you're about to drive under the rainbow! What's down that way?

It's been a very long time since I've been over the bridge.....I really like what you did with this picture.
