Description

Blimey, this one was a tough learning curve and a lot of hard work. My only real objective was to create seas that were stormier than the ones in my 'Dangerous Passage' image from yesterday. Thanks must go to grafikeer for his tips on creating big waves, e-brink for help on sea spray, JedSwindells for his 'ketch' model and photostar for the use of his terrain. The lighthouse was modelled by myself. Postwork in Photoshop took care of the brightness, sea spray, lens flare, lightning and the driving rain. Any comments are most welcome. Enjoy ... Tony :-)

It has taken quite a bit of sheer ability on your part, Tony to bring all of this together with such finesse. This is magnificent in every aspect. The seas, driving rains, rocking of the ketch and the atmosphere. Kudos and bravo to you. A definite fav.

I must say that I liked 'Dangerous passage' for what it was - a ship edging carefully through an awkward channel. But this new image of yours is superb! Very well done indeed! It is great to see new talent coming on so fast! Willing to reach out and ask questions of both the world and themselves. Bravo!!!

Oh man Tony I am very impressed!!! a very realistic stormy sea scene and OMG! them colors/textures on the waves is way way great!! also the dark stormy sky with lightning is very cool! also you achieved perfect realism on that shipped being tossed about like that!!!
