Hi, I'm Marilyn.  I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile.  It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here.  I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends.  Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time.  Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!!  Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet.  You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long.  Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

I knew when I saw the title to this one that it was going to be a shot of geese. The Canadian geese are now beginning to fly North for the Summer months, here, so I know Spring is arriving shortly.

This is a few? If we see five in a year thats a lot. A few years ago there used to be a large mill near to us with a massive flat roof, the geese used to land on the top for the night, they were quite happy because the roof used to be about six inches deep with water. Since they knocked down the mill, I have rarely seen any fly over. I look forward to total eclipse one of these mornings Marilyn. lol. Excellent capture, nice postwork. Bravo!!!!!

Nice angular POV employed in this capture of the wild geese, so beautifully contrasted against the dual colored and lighted sky.

This is a gorgeous image! Superb work! The geese themselves are beautifully silhouetted and the post work gives it a distinct, stylized look that reminds me of a snazzy, modern play on the sorts of stuff you'd likely see in Japanese art! I like the otherworldly effect of the blue circle; it reminds me of a blue sun, thus making this image into a wonderful quasi-science fiction piece for me. Fantastic on so many levels!
