I have met a former Norwood, Ohio retired GM worker in the park here named Manley who made very clear to me that the 1955 Del Ray was an up market car with a special tartan interior and not the low dollar car of 1958 and later. I suppose that leads to why there was no Impala station wagon to expand on whether the Impala had a longer wheelbase than the Bel Air and it's lesser siblings. Your modelling does an excellent job of distinguishing the various forms. There is an overall character and a sibling style while the showroom appearance repeats the brochure forms.

My first car was a 58 Chevy, though not a station wagon. Great car, lots of fun and great memories from that car.
