Hi, I'm Marilyn.  I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile.  It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here.  I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends.  Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time.  Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!!  Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet.  You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long.  Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Great beach scene. I would love to be walking along this stretch of sand. Aloha

Wonderful! I love the subtle colors in the foreground, against the brilliant blue of the sky. Nicely done!

Fabulous feel to this. The drift wood is well placed and the view is whimsical.

WOW! This has that sharp, wonderful blue that you capture so well...it's in "El Arco" too which is one of the things that keeps drawing me back to that picture! THIS has it as well, and wonderfully so. As for the rest of the image, I agree with Tara, the subtle colors in the foreground are astoundingly varied, but those variations reveal themselves after you've been with the picture for a while. It's a bit like reading a great story (yeah, as a writer, I'd bring THAT up, now wouldn't I?) You see something, it registers, you revisit it and suddenly something new, or something incredibly surprising pops up. THIS picture does it and it's an instant favorite!

This needs to go to a professional printers to be done on A3 or even A2, framed and then hung on my wall. OK not my wall, but somebody's wall, it really is top notch Marilyn. This really should be in the art charts, LWITG and anywhere else they wish to show it. I'll pinch one of PJ's words now, cause I can't think of one myself, that word is 'Stellar'(I think thats how you spell it). I have run out of superlatives so I'll nick this one, I hope PJ doesn't mind. Bravo!!!!!

This is a gem of a seascape capture, Marilyn. One of your best that I have seen. Definitely worth a larger size, matted and framed where you can enjoy it. Much depth to it and the form of the driftwood adds dimension to the overall photo.
