The muse comes to us in many different ways. She is with you, just not exciting you as much as before, but will again. This is a lovely image, full of vivid contrasts. Wouldn't it be fun to be in a storm of petals? I once wrote a scene for one of my novels where the heroine was enveloped in a whirlwind of tiny red butterflies. CC
