Description
Hi everyone and hope all is fine. Sorry for not being around but was just taking some time off. Will post a series of lava pictures that I took on March 4th with my wife, sister and Lady Carrie. This was the shortest hike to the lava fields that I've ever walked. 30 seconds away from the truck and you're there. Eventually, I had to move my truck as the lava over ran the road and parking area. Happy Easter to All... Aloha and thank you for viewing

LOL@Danny... One of the many lessons I've learned is to try and stay off the hot surface. Brave Terry and I took one to many chances over newly fresh formed hot lava surface and did all what we could have imagine to do. We've learn many dangers first hand and thought of how lucky we were during some of our walks. And every time I'm out there, I'll share the do's and don'ts to friends and people. Don't buy expensive shoes......lol Aloha

Welcome back, Errol! What a spectacular shot to begin the next hike. Man, I walked 2 1/2 miles to get to the lava, and you walked 30 seconds LOL. I'm glad you moved the truck before the lava overran the parking lot. Take care out there, my friend.

Awesome! I love the wrinkled pattern here. Again, I wonder about how hot the air is, the sound, and the speed. I would be mesmerized and watch for hours if I could!
