Description

The first shot of the day at Crich Tramway Museum, WWII weekend. Alan and I traveled over to Crich for the WWII enactment at the Tramway Museum ariving at the carpark about 08:50 hrs, we had an hour to kill before they opened the gates. We had left home earlier than normal because I wanted to visit Riber Castle on the way. Unfortunately the Castle was inaccessable, it used to be a Zoo, but closed in 2000, I thought we might be able to get into the grounds and get a few shots in, not to be as the place was shut up tight, it looked like there was some renovation going on so fingers crossed for a future visit. Whilst we were waiting for the barrier to open to the carpark this vehicle pulled up behind us, the driver got out and walked of and left me and Alan to snap away to our hearts content. Eventually ten O'Clock came around and we were the very first customers of the day. I took 395 pictures, Alan usually takes more than me, I will have to wait and see though. On the way home he said he had taken more than 100 but not many more, a very conservative estimate I think. Sorry abot the lack of information on the vehicle itself as there was none to be had. So apart from it being an old Austin, I know very little. Alan glaanced at me as I was framing the shot and shouted 'Sorry, I'll get out of your way, thats why he is almost running to get out of shot,(damn I wanted him in it) lol. I'm of to bed now as I've had a long day, I've been up since 04:30 hrs, and I have the workmen coming in the morning to fit triple glazing to the front of the house, so I will have to be up for 07:00 hrs to get ready for them coming at 08:00hrs. I just hoping the snow stays off. Thanks for stopping by for a look and for any comments you care to make. May the sun shine down on you, where ever you are.

Good shot and a good preservation of that unique color that was so popular back then.

I didn't think I could run that fast Lol. You were right Jeff I usually do take more than you and yesterday was no exception, i get carried with the camera in my hand. 436 shots lol. I think it's because I've had so many dissappointments in the past when I didn't take as many. The one thing that I have learnt is that if you take as many as you can of the same subject you should come up with at the least "one cracker". What with blur and boring shots of too many same shots, I have already deleted over a hundred. lol.
