Description

This is a wild orchid that seeded itself in a hanging basket at the back of my home. The plant is a protected species in UK. I am not allowed to move it. It blooms every year and is my pride and my joy. So much is happened in our lives at the moment, David's contract for work in London has not been renewed. I am so happy he will now be home with me, for a while at least. I thank you for looking and for treasured comments. Have a beautiful weekend. Hugs. Diane.

Sorry for the re-post of a comment. I misread your words. Mixed news about the work but the positive is that he will be around... this is a great image Diane, and the focus on it is superb. Real lovely!

Greetings Diane, The orchid is captured perfectly and I even like the few strands left behind from the travels of a spider. If it should go to seed for you, do collect them to increase your number of this magnificent plant and maybe we can exchange some seeds from a wild orchid with hundreds of white flowers growing in my garden. Have a wonderful weekend and i am glad you are doing a little better. egmont

I feel very lucky to see this as it is protected and therefore must be special. It is very lovely and so different with almost a snapdragon formation to it. So happy to hear things are changing for the better for you. About time, huh? :-)

I have mixed emotions with regard to your news Diane, I was once told my contract would not be renewed and was devastated by the news. I fought long and hard and eventually got back my job but it took nearly two years. So I am saddened that Davids contract will not be renewed, but am also happy for you as he will be home with you. I hope he manages to get similar work closer to home sooner rather than later, so that you have security as well as happiness. Wonderful capture of this endangered orchid, did you know you also captured a spider, tucked away behind the bottom right leaf, I can just se reflected light from it's web. Beautiful flower Diane, I would be so proud to have this in my yard, just as I imagine you are. Take care stay safe, sunshine hugs for you. Bravo!!!!!
