Description

Rhino 4 version of one of my favorite starship designs. The original model done in TrueSpace 6.6 was used as a starting point. New details were added in Rhino with the design being re-textured from scratch. The image was rendered using Flamingo with Corel Draw X3 used to add the text and banners. The fictional background for the vessel has also changed. It is now the exploratory flagship of the Interstellar Exploration Corps set in a time period about a thousand years from the present. Many thanks to Vbarreto for the wonderful hull textures.

Very cool ship ... except, the head looks a little bit like a chicken. Maybe there's something you can do with the nose (warp or blunt it) or add antennas or something to make it less symmetrical.

symmetry in ship designs is common, but it could use an antennae array (lines with pipes aroundcurve option) or some cargo bays, ship bays, etc. all those little things add a tiny bit of flare to the object and offset that cookie cutter symmetry look i believe geirla is noting.
