Hello! My name is Jodie. I live in Minnesota where the temps can fluxuate by 20 degrees in one day. Most of my photos have been taken very close to my home, a 10 acre hobby farm., where I raise Alpacas and chickens. I am a band director, a musician/singer and a photographer/adviser on the yearbook committee. My camera of choice is a Nikon. I have a D90 and a D70. I also have a SB800 flash and favorite lens is Nikon 18-200mm AF-S, with VR. Revisiting the visual arts is something I should have done years ago. If I see something remarkable, I just try to capture it. Nobody else will ever see it quite that way again so I hope you try that, too. This is just like expensive therapy for us.  Thank you for visiting and may you have a peaceful day!Â

I have been thinking of you often and I'm so glad you are doing better and recovering with zeal. This is a fabulous shot. Very dramatic, but then, I bet that is what this was about to start with.

Nice shot - they look so innocent and intent -- the shadows are interesting, too. Must have been quite a production -- and a lot of work.

Still keeping you in my prayers, this is a wonderful image Jody :)

This photograph is 'yours' and I don't even know how...it just is. Theatrical photography, I know, is often dramatic because of the cloistered space, the intense lighting and all that; but there's a 'Jodie' presence that makes it yours, yours & yours. Maybe it's the deep reddish undertone through it all (heartful & impassioned), maybe the wonderful lighting (w/ the looming shadows pointing upwards), or your darks which, in your hands, are always rich and poignant---it's just yours. I truly hope your recovery is bringing you healing & peace, and nice to see you back with such a lovely picture...

Great way of enhancing the drama with the emphasized appearance of the shadows in the background. Glad to hear you are on the mend Jodie.

Ooooh, shadows! There is a great sense of theatrical intensity going on here, and the crispness of the image is superb. Again, I am drawn to the faces and the various postures. How human this is! I think the main problem with passion plays and any sort of religious art is the lack of humanity, but you've captured it here and it makes the story behind the scene a bit more real, as I have serious doubts that everyone AT the Last Supper wore the same "gazing off into space" expression so commonly shown in lesser works. And they're on the FLOOR! Great sense of historical accuracy here! Wonderfully captured!
