Description

Here's another shot from my day at the beach with Randy. I took this while standing under the Edmonds Oil Dock. For those of you who aren't familiar with views like this, the dark green line that goes across all the pilings, the one that's just above my eye level, is the high water mark. We were there at low tide. If you want to hang out at the beach around here, you really need to check a tide chart! Low tide that day was at 11:45 am, and this was probably taken at about noon. That's partly why the light is so harsh. It was also totally clouded over by that time. Hey - at least it wasn't raining! ..... I went to dinner tonight with two of my nieces. What fun we had! :) (That's what I was doing this evening instead of commenting on your beautiful photographs!)

I guess you wouldn't want to be there at High Tide. Wonderful shot, I like your composition.

I love this kind of shot. It's like being inside the workings of a big machine. Dinner with your nieces, eh? You say that so casually, as if that were more important than commenting on our images. And I thought we were friends.

Looks like they could do with a tad of maintainence down below decks Tara, a bit of barnacle scraping wouldn't go amiss. I could help out and pick a few of those rocks up that seem to be in abundance. What do you mean by going out and enjoying yourself BEFORE commenting? I hope you had your camera with you lady, otherwise we might have to have a serious talk. roflmao. Hope you had a fantastic time, it sounds like you did. Excellent capture, and I agree with Marilyn, I want to ga as well. Bravo!!!!!

The refection of light by the clouds really gives a stark reality to this shot. Very nice... good find!

a really fine capture. the construction does not look very dependable to me. they should build a new one (leave the old one to photograph, however :-)

First of all, commenting on our beautiful photographs should be the number one/numero uno priority in your life. Having dinner with your relatives is okay, but mustn't rival or surpass your obligation to your peers on Renderosity. That said, super POV and weather/ocean-beaten effects depicted in this stellar shot of the olde rickety pier pilings, Tara!

Excellent image, I love the line of the high tide, but it kind of feels like looking under someone's skirt, doesn't it? Well done!
