Description
This little fellow is called a Steenbok (bok=buck). I shot this image in the Kruger National Park in South Africa. They are a very small species of buck found widely in Southern Africa and extremely skittish! To get close to them is almost impossible. I was extremely lucky to get the 'pose' from this guy! He ran off at warp speed mili-seconds after I took this image. It was taken with on an approx 400mm zoom and was scanned from color negative.

I think you must have blinked Carin and it caught the movement, lol, I think I would be skitish if I was out in the bush with lions for company. Excellent capture, especially so with it being a colour negative. Superb work. Bravo!!!!!

He's a beauty,what a catch. Isn't it great to find that you got the perfect shot and with film you are never sure until you have them developed/processed. I can't wait for you to upload some more from the Kruger Nat.Park.
