Hello! My name is Jodie. I live in Minnesota where the temps can fluxuate by 20 degrees in one day. Most of my photos have been taken very close to my home, a 10 acre hobby farm., where I raise Alpacas and chickens. I am a band director, a musician/singer and a photographer/adviser on the yearbook committee. My camera of choice is a Nikon. I have a D90 and a D70. I also have a SB800 flash and favorite lens is Nikon 18-200mm AF-S, with VR. Revisiting the visual arts is something I should have done years ago. If I see something remarkable, I just try to capture it. Nobody else will ever see it quite that way again so I hope you try that, too. This is just like expensive therapy for us. Thank you for visiting and may you have a peaceful day!

Excellent capture... I have a handmade dulcimer upstairs... One of the strings broke and no one repairs them around here anymore... I got it cuz I heard that was what was playing on the Opening theme of Waltons Mountain..I was hooked on that show and John Boy grin Great pic sis Hugs Susan~

Quaint instruments abound! Very interesting display of a colorfully clad couple observing the tedious work of instrument repair. But what is with that humongous gray beard? It's like wearing a brillo pad. Anybody seen my shears?

I just love the expressions when they aren't center stage. :-) Wonderful composition.

Great, great, great, great, great! As a musician and veteran of theater—like you—I can only say you got it, you got it, you got it! This is the other side of theater, the boredom, the waiting, the long lags between numbers, and the chance to let down one's guard and just 'be'. To see people in those outfits—and that beard!—while they're just sitting around, suddenly turns these grave figures into next door neighbors who are wondering if they left the washer on. A great shot, and theater's in-between moment captured perfectly. Wonderful! Four stars, NYTimes—A must see!

I am not knowledgeable on musical instruments except that I recognize the ones here as being from Biblical times or before but I find it interesting and a good capture.

I like the candor here! The sense of bored ennui between scenes. It's a wonderful capture in a wonderful series. It's also interesting that I'm seeing this in reverse...yeah, I'm catching up on galleries and I tend to take a retrograde motion! But aside from that, I like the "you are there" feeling of this image, as well as the capture of...well...that pause between events. Great work.
