Description

All rendered in Vue but there's alot of postwork so I put this in Mixed Media. It's not historically correct but it's the closest genre to put this in. Credits: Xurge dragon warrior outfit, M3, Daz knights, free sword (sorry, don't know who made it). Thank you to all the people who view my art and leave such kind and generous comments. I know it's hard to find the time to do, so it's greatly appreciated. ****** Side note ***** Update on Daniel - This is an email that Roger (my brother) sent to the family and his boss about Dan's progress after being in Houston, TX at the Anderson Medical facility. Thank you again for all your prayers. I'm so grateful to this community. *It's ongoing. Dan is hooked up to a battery powered back-pack pump that infuses 15 CC's an hour. We have to take him back to the hospital each day for the next four days to give him a new bag of drugs. So, that's 120 hours of continuous drugs. That takes him to noon on Tuesday, and then he gets 24 more hours of stuff to help keep his kidneys from turning into hamburger. Then he gets a drug that will help his blood counts (and hence, his immune system) recover faster, and then another doctor meeting before we head home. That would be next Thursday or Friday. Nice thing about this, if there is one, is that he doesn't need to be admitted into the hospital on this. In one month he has to go through this same routine again, and then he'll get re-evaluated by the Dr. Anderson here in TX (unclear at this point if we'll come here for that or not - regardless, in late May) to see how effective the chemo is. If it's working, he'll have probably two more rounds (two more months) of this (which should be able to be done in WI). Then we can see if radiation makes sense, and then he'll also need to have heart surgery because the tumor thrombus appears to have spread into the right atrium of his heart - in addition to his jugular and a large tumor in his right lung. But none of that matters if this chemo doesn't start killing the disease. So we're just trying to stay positive and appreciate every day we have. We really like this Dr. Anderson. Like I said last night, he's not promising miracles, but he has a definitive plan and know exactly how to approach this.

This is an excellent work Nancy, on it's own. But standing with your news of Daniel seems to raise it up a notch or two. I see cancer as the war we are fighting. And it's come to our doorstep too. We are watching my brother in law fight the battle. Like your Daniel, we don't know what the outcome will be. It's been a bloody battle, with no winner in sight yet. I pray for Daniel and all of you. Even though it's Daniel at the forefront of the battle lines, the rear guard needs prayers too.

Very interesting image.....and also, I hope all goes well with Daniel. I think that this picture is quite poignant, really....Daniel is clearly fighting very hard, fighting his own war with each and every day....good luck to him and his family, may he fight the good fight!

Sounds as if Daniel is having a bigger battle than I am. I'm sending him light and courage and hopefully will think about him when I'm down... Nice, strong and appropriate image :) Superb scene!

Considering the fact that in terms of violence, little changes, meaning that war is still very much with us with no end in sight, the application of historical accuracy is somewhat moot. On the other hand, your piece is quite moving. To me, there's a sense of Duhrer here.

An apt picture I'd say. Forget about honour and glory, you fight until you can't, cause that's all there's left to do. I'm glad Dan has a game plan, best of luck with it.

War....this knight has obviously seen too much of it. He looks lost and exhausted as he gazes into the distance. Very powerful. Dan will fight as hard as this knight and he too will prevail. A great image!
