Description

A Bit Melancholy It's my last day Here in this place And I'm feeling a bit blue Feeling a bit sad For every action There's an equal And opposite reaction I remember that line From somewhere How true it is All these highs Now have some lows And it's a little hard But I'll take with me Memories thoughts Feelings emotions And those I won't lose They'll stay with me forever And I can bring them To mind anytime I want Or need to I feel changed Transformed Alive And I can't wait for the next big adventure in my life 4/15/08

The old Southeast can sometimes do that to you, Marilyn. It's all of the gracious charm and the people, there.

Having got to know you, your next adventure won't be that long in coming. Excellent prose and so very true. Superb work. Bravo!!!!!

I can definitely sympathize with this! Travel brings so much, and you can always carry it with you, inside your mind and heart. Your words here are incredibly touching and true, and I love the straightforward manner in which you state this! It's the kinda stuff I love to read! I agree with JeffG7BRJ in that your next adventure won't be far away. Once you start, who knows where you'll wind up...maybe even in Prague or Moscow! :-)

A most poignant tableau of feelings, Marilyn. Although, if you really want to feel melancholy, just check out the cost of food and gasoline, and the invasion of our country by illegal aliens.

I know you too well to be concerned about a little melancholy. Enjoy the "down" side too - it highlights what a good time you had, and adds layers of meaning and experience to your time there.
